Quality is an unavoidable attribution in the modern management of educational institutions, this research is aimed at reflecting the ISO21001 standard as a tool to promote quality in Ecuadorian Higher Technical and Technological Institutes; A non-experimental, correlational and descriptive methodological route was developed, with this methodology the current accreditation situation was determined, in addition; the problem of the institutes is raised from the perspective of teachers, authorities and students. It was also necessary to carry out a correlational analysis using the dispersion graph, the Pearson correlation coefficient and the R2 coefficient, the results reflect the relationship of the components of the evaluation model and the relevant aspects of the ISO21001 standard.
